The Povolotsky family came to Israel from Moscow in 1990. The family violin trio had their first performance on the Israeli television in January 1991 and has since developed reputation of excellent in Israel, Europe, United States, Canada and South America. The trio has been invited to perform on many radio and television programs. In 2001 the trio recorded an album called “Capriccio N 5” consisting of eleven classical compositions in electronic jazz style. The album was sold in Europe, United States and Israel. Alexander Povolotsky set up the "Povolotsky Family Trio" where he plays together with his son Eugene and daughter Marianna. Since the beginning, the trio has been performing with some of the world’s leading opera singers in a variety of concert programs. The members of trio play in the Virtuosi of Tel-Aviv ensemble. Furthermore, Alexander and Marianna Povolotsky are members of the Israel Philharmonic
Orchestra under the direction of maestro Zubin Mehta. In 2016 trio performed with Odessa opera orchestra during the days of “Violin Festival” in the city.
